On the 26th of December a consultation council was held at the Administration of the Governor, which was attended by Covernors of Kaspi, Kareli, Khashuri and Gori Municipalities, Gori Mayor, chairmen of the Council and their deputies. At the sitting of the consultation council in accordance with the Resolution of the Georgian Government № 23, Paragraph 4, Points 2 and 3, and Resolution of the Georgian Government №308, Paragraph 5, point “p”, condition of the projects financed from the fund of regional development projects as of 2016 (FRDP) were discussed. In addition, according to the Self-government Code, the priority projects and directions to be submitted at FRDP in 2017 were taken a vote and approved.
The main priority of Shida Kartli Region remains infrastructural direction. Road construction and rehabilitation, installation of drinking water systems, rehabilitation of kindergartens and construction of sports facilities, which will promote creation of new jobs, development of tourism and prosperity of the population.
