State-Governor in Shida Kartli, Giorgi Khojevanishvili and Director at Emergency Situation Coordination and Urgent Assistance Centre, Avtandil Talakvadze met with the representatives of Gori emergency medical assistance and provided them with the information about building of a new building of emergency assistance, which will have been planned since 2019.

Relevant to European standards, within the project a new building will be constructed in D.Chonkadze street and will be comforted  with modern equipment. 7 groups of urgent assistance will be located there and it will work for 24 hours in service.  The goal of the project is to offer the population a qualitative service and to improve working conditions of the medical staff.

„The representatives of the medical staff has the greatest duty  towards population. You are responsible for our citizens’,-in many cases, for their survival. Because of this,  it is very important to have all necessary conditions to make your activities smoothly,-said Giorgi Khojevanishvili during the meeting with the medical staff. According to him, the administration of Representative in Shida Kartli, within its competencies, will be actively engaged in the process of constructing of a new  emergency assistance building and its equipping.

The government has already started to create dignified working conditions for emergency assistance staff in the region. In particular, the salary of the medical staff increased up to 20-30%.
