The Gori Municipality and the monitoring mission of the EU of Gori office (EUMM) organized the marathon ‘’Women, Peace and Safety in Gori Cultural and Recreation Park ‘’Akhalbaghi’’. The Governor in Shida Kartli Giorgi Khojevanishvili and the staff of the regional administration participated in the marathon. "Today’s marathon carries two missions, the first is to establish a healthy lifestyle among the young generation and in the population, in general and on the other hand, it supports women’s rights. We must understand that we, people have the equal rights, our duty is to protect and respect to one another. I am glad that many people are gathered today ,here, we share this simple truth, which is called equality and healthy life’’, -said the Governor.

The marathon covered 4 km, the winners were awarded by Giorgi Khojevanishvili, the Mayor of the town and the head of the monitoring mission at the end of the activity.
