Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-Governor in Shida Kartli and Otar Shamugia,- Head of Melioration of Georgia got familiar with the working process in Khashuri. 1800 meters of the open and closed collectors are being cleaned up from bushes and mass of rubbish . The nearby area and its infrastructure will be arranged. At this stage, the closed block which is at Khashuri entrance , nearby the police office, is opened and intensive works are being on. More than 2 meters open channels from the river Mtkvari have been already cleaned up. The works are also being on at the open and closed areas nearby Khashuri Agriculture Market . Widening of the bed of the channel is being planned as well.
The Governor met the inhabitants of Imereti street and got familiar with their need some weeks ago. According to the locals, abundant rainfalls have been dangerous for their safety for a long time. Uninterrupted flow of the water in the channel will keep the town of Khashuri and the central highway from flooding.
