Mamuka Merebashvili, -a beneficiary of the project ‘’Introduce Your Future’’ within the ‘’Joint Agro Project’’, laid out apple, plum and peach garden at 6 hectares. The fruit garden is at the village of Mejvriskhevi near the occupation line.
Giorgi Khanishvili,-the Depute Minister of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture , Paata Shekiladze,- Director of Agriculture Projects Management Agency and the Deputy of the State representative in Shida Kartli were in the village of Mejvriskhevi and looked round Mamuka Merebashvili’s fruit garden. This beneficiary engaged in the program in 2017. He got GEL 45, 100 funding from the State for laying out a garden and arranging of the irrigation systems. From this, GEL 32,700 for seeding and GEL 12,400 for drip systems. New fruit gardens have already been laid out at 6,347 hectares withinthe project ‘’Introduce Your Future’’ at scale of Georgia and the amount of financing from the State is GEL 34, 261, 096. From this, fruit gardens have been laid out at 1, 744 hectares in Shida Kartli region.
Agriculture Projects Management Agency is implementing ‘’The Joint Agro Project’’ which is designed for long-term development and its purpose is to create an environment that will promote the increase of competitiveness in agriculture, stable growth of high quality products, introduction of international standards of food safety.
