Fruit-vegetable Storage Refrigerator Complex has been A ctivated in Shida Kartli

Fruit-vegetable storage refrigerator complex has been activated in the village of Dzevera in the Gori Municipality. The refrigeration system Ltd ‘’Agro –Kartli’’ equipped with modern standards was created with the help of the State  within the framework of the "United Agro Project. The financial support of the enterprise was made within the frames of the "Co-Financing Project for Agricultural Production Processing  and Storing Enterprises". Around GEL 1,700, 000 investment was implemented at the enterprise in total, from this, 600, 000 is a grant, 845,000,-is a referential agro-credit and the other money ,-is the beneficiary’s own investment.
Giorgi Khanishvili,-the Deputy of the Minister of  Environment Protection and Agriculture, together with Paata Shekiladze,-Director of Agricultural Project management and Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the State-Representative of Shida Kartli opened fruit-vegetable storage refrigerator complex and introduced to the enterprise prosess.  700 tone of different kinds of fruit and vegetable can be stored at the refrigerator complex per year.  Five locals are employed permanently at the refrigerator complex and ten people are added during the sesons. 

By the end of 2019, with the support of the Agriculture Projects Management Agency, the International Food Safety Standards - HACCP is planned to be implemented. 187 new enterprises have been financed with the help of the State within the ‘’Joint Agriculture Project since 2013 up today. Twenty-two new enterprises  have been established in Shida Kartli region. Financial supporting of the State encouraged entrepreneurs for development and broadening their production.

Management Agency of Agriculture Projects are implementing ‘’Joint Agricultural  Project’’ which is focused on long-term development and its goal is to create such environment that will promote to increase competitiveness in agriculture, stable growth of high quality products, introduction of international standards of food safety.
