Niko Lomouri’s Memorial House-Museum in the village of Arbo which is situated at the occupation line, will be fully rehabilitated. The works will be funded by the local budget. Its design has already been finished at this stage, the tender of construction will be announced in the nearest future. The Memorial House-Museum will be fully rehabilitated and its yard will be arranged, as well within the project. The library at the museum will also be restored. Shida Kartli Administrative Office is actively involved in the current process. It is in close contact with the representatives of the museum administration and the local population to consider their opinions in the course of the project.
Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the State Representative in Shida Kartli, met with the locals in the village and listened to their other requirements. The road which connects the villages of Ditsi, Kordi and Arbo which are located at the occupation line, will be rehabilitated together with other projects.
,,Rehabilitation of Niko Lomouri’s Memorial House-Museum has a multi-dimensional importance. On the one hand, it is very important to pay attention to cultural heritage monuments in the region and restore their function. The museum of a public figure like Niko Lomouria really needs to be appreciated, on the other hand, Arbo is situated at the occupation line and its enhancing and supporting are priorities, it will be through arranging of the infrastructure, sports and cultural facilities. Rehabilitation of the museum will really support to increase the number of its visitors, to activate of young generation and develop the village itself. We must take care of our history by joint efforts and have to be also careful with our future’’,-said Giorgi Khojevanishvili.
