Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the State-representative in Shida Kartli, Ilia Begiashvili,-Depute Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Shalva Gogoladze,-Depute of the Ministry of Education, Science ,Culture and Sport attended the opening of Sports Complex in Khashuri.
The multifunctional institution will serve more than 1500 children and sportsmen. There are basketball, mini football, wrestling, athletic and fitness gyms in the building. There are also a small conference hall and café-canteen. A hotel for 40 people will function in the building. The sports complex is adapted for the people with disabilities. A mini stadium, a tennis pitch, a parking place and recreational zone were arranged in the yard of the sports complex. Constructing of the sports complex was funded by the local and state budgets.
