Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-a State Representative in Shida Kartli, Ilia Begiashvili,-the deputy of the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and the representatives of the local government, were in the villages of Ditsi, Kordi and Arbo which are located near the occupation line. Different kinds of rehabilitation works are intensively going on in these villages. Specifically, with the financial support of the Regional Projects Fund, the 7-kilometer highway is being rehabilitated, which includes asphalt works and drainage system. The Municipal Development Fund is organizing the potable water network. Outdoor lighting is planned as part of the Village Support Program, and in the village of Arbo, with funding from the local budget, a major rehabilitation of Niko Lomouri’s House Museum is underway. In addition, a museum yard will be arranged and a library will be restored. Government officials also met with the local community and talked with them. “The involvement of locals in the working process is very important, as each project is adjusted to their requirements. These people know best what their priority is and we will plan further projects based on their interests in the future.’’- noted the State Representative.
