Shida Kartli State Representative Giorgi Khojevanishvili inspected the construction works on Barnov Street and the shore wall in Gori. The construction of a 92-meter protective wall on the left bank of the Mtkvari is being carried out within the framework of the state disaster prevention program, and the full rehabilitation of Barnov Street is being co-financed by the Regional Fund for projects.
Rehabilitation of 370-meter section of the road connecting Romalashvili and Guramishvili streets will significantly reduce traffic on Queen Tamar, Stalin and Royal streets. ‘’Infrastructural projects are being actively gone on simultaneously with the prevention of the spread of coronavirus in the region. Barnov Street project is one of the ongoing projects where works are underway. In addition to the road, water pipes and the wall of the fort arrangements, the project also includes the arrangement of the surrounding area, where the arrangement of the bicycle lane is also planned. I think Gori will have another important and well-equipped street by the end of the summer, especially since there has never been a perfect highway in this area, ”said the State Representative.
The cost of the project is 2 million GEL and will be completed in the summer of this year.
