The project, funded by the German Bank for Reconstruction and Development (KFW), "Economic Participation in Housing and Social Infrastructure for Internally Displaced Persons and Hosts", along with promoting social integration of IDPs, provides for their long-term resettlement, economic and educational empowerment. The project is implemented by the Danish Refugee Council within the framework of Georgia-Germany financial cooperation.

With the funding of the German government, 10 small-scale infrastructure projects have already been completed in 5 IDP settlements in Gori, Mtskheta, Poti and Tsalenjikha municipalities. In 2020-2021, 14 more projects will be implemented throughout Georgia. In order to support the social integration of IDPs, the needs of the settlements are taken into account as much as possible when planning infrastructure works.
