Acting Shida Kartli Governor Ioseb Okromelidze and employees of Governor’s administration visited Maia Shamiryan, who lives in Kombinati Settlement in a dormitory with her small children. Shamiryan was diagnosed a malignant tumor several months ago, though due to lack of means she couldn’t take lab tests. In addition, she cannot move independently. The Administration of the Governor was informed about their problems several weeks ago, after which they started to study in which condition this family was. The family is socially unprotected and lives in inappropriate conditions. The employees of the Administration bought a bed and a table on the own initiative for the small children, who were sleeping on the floor, thus they could somehow improve their living conditions. They also financed the lab tests for Maia Shamiryan. “The condition of this family came to our knowledge several weeks ago; we searched for the information from appropriate state authorities and jointly studied the situation, which ways there existed to solve this issue. As it turned out together with the health problem of this woman the living conditions of this family were unbearable, especially for the small children, who have to sleep on the floor. Unfortunately, there are still citizens who have to live in such conditions, that is why we use all possible chances to provide them with minimal living conditions so that they could live in better conditions. We have a lot to do and we accept the challenges, and with mutual support, joint work and effort we shall be able to achieve the desired results”. – stated Ioseb Okromelidze.
