Today in the administration board, Shida Kartli governor hosted the Polish and Ukrainian delegation representatives participating in the international Forum. The introductory meeting lasted for an hour where the parts talked about collaboration and development subjects. The Deputy Governors Ioseb Okromelidze and Amiran Shavshishvili and the Mayor of Gori Zurab Jirkvelishvili attended the meeting. Poland was represented by governor of Pomorski district, Christoph Trakitsk and Vice Mayor of Bialystok, Robert Iuzhkiak. The Ukrain was represented by MP Evgen Tkachuk.The regional governor informed the guests about the economical potentials and priorities of the region of Shida Kartli. The guests also expressed their readiness to cooperate in turn. They drew attention to the rules and sources of funding from EU. They underlined the importance of our country's apparent dynamics towards European integration. According to Vice Mayor, Robert Iuzhkiak, Georgia is considered to be a modern and interesting country in Poland. It is already available to purchase Georgian products in many cities of Poland-he stated and also mentioned that Georgia especially attracts the Poles in terms of tourism. The visitors thanked to the Governor and the Mayor of Gori for warm hospitability and organization of the important Forum. At the end of the meeting, the Governor of Shida Kartli gave symbolic presents to the delegation members. The representatives of the foreign countries also gifted souvenirs to the governor of the region.
