Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the Governor in Shida Kartli met the representatives of the International Non-governmental Organization –‘’Save the Children’’. The counterparts discussed the  new project which is being implemented for the refugees in two towns of Georgia-Gori and Zugdidi.

The goal of the project is to prevent gender  violence of women and girls and to improve reaction to it which is planned through high quality service , behavioral changes and social-economic enhancement in the refugee settlements. The project is being implemented by the financial supporting of the USA State Department population and the Bureau of Refugees and Migration.

According to the Governor, he is ready to promote the implementation of the project without any obstacles within his own maximal competences in order the final result to be productive and beneficial  for the target groups and their further activities.
