Levan Davitashvili,-the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia began his meetings with the farmers of Shida Kartli and met about 300 farmers in Gori. Giorgi Khojevanishvili, -Governor in Shida Kartli opened the meeting and highlighted the importance of the meeting with the farmers. He noted that constant contacts between the State and its citizens are being implemented. „Agriculture is a progressive field and constant contacts with farmers is very important from the State,in order the projects which our state is implementing,to be relevant to needs and response to modern chalanges. The Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture will continue again to finance agriculture projects from the next year, which is definitely considerable,’’-said Giorgi Khojevanishvili.
Levan Davitashvili provided the participants of the meeting with the information about the projects implemented in 2018 and future plans. The Minister noted about the progress in agriculture in recent period and the carried out politics by the Ministry. „The budget of 2018 is increased by GEL 35 000 000, the most amount will be directed towards financing of the unified agricultural projects. Today we have had a meeting in Shida Kartli, the Ministry has planned to visit almost in every region in order to have talks with farmers and provide them with the information about as the results of the current projects as about those new initiatives which are planned from the next year,’’-announced Levan Davitashvili. The meeting was held at Gori State University Hall.
