The Mayors of the Kareli and Khashuri Municipalities together with the heads of the municipalities presented the action plan in 2019 at Shida Kartli Governor’s Administrative Office. Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-Governor in Shida Kartli led the meeting.  The projects related to infrastructure, social, education, culture and sport planned in the municipality were discussed in details. GEL 9 000 000 for the Khashuri Municipality and GEL 10 000 000 for the Kareli Municipality is allocated for the implementation of the infrastructural projects. The works will start in the nearest future.

Construction of stadium with international standards in the Khashuri Municipality, rehabilitation of the head office and network in the village of Bijnisi, rehabilitation works of the road in the village of Vaka, arrangement of drainage channels in Khashuri and Surami, rehabilitation of  Khashuri  Culture Center in the current year.  Rehabilitation of block of flats, their fronts and roofs will be implemented this year, as well. .

The works of asphalt of Kareli streets, rehabilitation of irrigation-drainage systems in Ruisi, a complete rehabilitation of the kindergartens in the villages of Dirbi and Ruisi, arrangement of street light in Zghuderi, Ortubani, Elbakiaantkari, Gverdzineti, Dirbi, Dvani,Ptsa and Ruisi will be implemented. 15km road rehabilitation is also planned in Dzama gorge.

The participants of the meeting also discussed about increasing of tourism potential in the municipalities. Information centers of tourism will start functioning in Kareli and Khashuri. On one hand, this will support to create working places and on the other hand, increases the number of tourists in the region.
Similar meetings will be held in the Kaspi and Khashuri Municipalities.
