Within the project „Village Support Program’’, the population chose the projects to be implemented at the meeting in  the village of Khurvaleti which is located near the occupation line.

Ilia Begashvili,-the Depute Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Giorgi Khojevanishvili,- the State Representative in Shida Kartli and other representatives of the local government attended the meeting.

The community meeting was also attended by the locals of the villages of Khurvaleti and New Khurvaleti. According to their joint decision two projects will be funded this year. A gym will be arranged at the building located in the village and which is not functioning nowadays and it will serve three settlements. Besides this, attractions for children will be placed in the small public garden within the project.  

,,I welcome the population’s decision, especially the idea of arranging sport infrastructure. Khurvaleti is at the occupation line and it is important the local youngsters to have improved conditions for better life’’,-said the State Representative.  Implementation of „Village Support Program has been reinstated since 2019. The projects to be financed by the ‘’Village Support Program’’ will be selected  through the consultations with the villagers and decisions made at community meetings.
