Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the State-representative in Shida Kartli met with the representatives of the Red Cross. The two sides discussed about the joint implementations of projects and activities. According to Khojevanishvili it is very important to use public and private sectors’ abilities  maximally in the process of solving the existing problems in  the region.

Some issues were focused at the meeting which implementation will start in the nearest period. Particularly, the Red Cross society of Georgia by supporting of the Committee of the Red Cross will implement the project ‘’  Ensuring Preparedness and Response to Emergency Situations’’ at public schools of Shida Kartli.   This means to conduct trainings at primary aids to reduce disaster risks. Also, the  local municipalities are planning to arrange camps for young people in summer where the Red Cross Organization will be actively involved with its human and technical recourses.

The discussion was dealt with old people’s shelter arrangement and  foundation of a social enterprise. According to the representatives of the organization,  it  is important for them to fully utilize the region and  to implement the activities which are oriented on results.

The International Movement of the Red Cross is an international humanitarian organization. At the beginning it helped only the people who participated and injured in wars.  Afterwards, it expended its activities on peaceful population.  The Red Cross Society was found in 1918 in Georgia.
