A meeting about development of Gori Castle and its surroundings was conducted by organizing of Shida Kartli Administrative Office and Shida Kartli Hub.  Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the State-representative in Shida Kartli, Paata Gaprindashvili,-Deputy of the Director of  Cultural Heritage Protection Agency, representatives of  the localself-governance and ENJO sector ,also the people who are interested in this issue attended the meeting.

Archeological works are in progress nowadays at Gori Castle. The representatives of the Cultural Heritage Agency provided the participants of the meeting with the detailed information about the current process.  Arrangement of tourism infrastructure is being planned after finishing the archeological excavations.  The issues which are dealt with the perspectives of development of Gori Castle and its surroundings were discussed at the meeting. They also discussed about the issues of transferring Gori Castle to the Gori Municipality, fully using of the territory of the castle and arranging of museum space.

,,We had a good meeting as all the interested sides participated in it and we together discussed about development of one of the important and strategic cultural heritage monuments of our town. Some interesting ideas were born which will be focused on in the future. We also agreed on arranging the next meeting at Gori Castle itself  where we’ll be able to introduce to the results of the starting works as well as the project works which are in progress around the Victory Monument’’,-noted Giorgi Khojevanishvili.
