The new project ’’European Union for Youngsters,-to promote young people’s education, employment and involvement in the conflict regions of Georgia and the Ukraine has been started in Gori. The goal of the new project is to involve refuge and the young people affected by the conflict actively in social life. Two entrepreneurial schools will be founded in Zugdidi and Gori within the project, where 80 young people will master the entrepreneurial abilities together with getting education. They will get as consultations relevant to individual and needs as supporting of mentor and coach for improving their business ideas. Academic programs of the professions which are demanded at the labour market will be processed which will help 270 young people to master their professions in real situation and to be engaged in the program of paid internships. Besides this, the young people who are involved in this project, will get the certificate confirming their theoretical and practical knowledge and they will be given an opportunity to be employed. About 100 refuges and the young people who are affected by the conflict together with the representatives of civic and state institutions, the media and business sector will be involved in the process of advocacy of education, employment and self-employment.
The project ‘’EU for Young People-supporting of education, employment and involvement of young people in the conflict regions of Georgia and the Ukraine’’ is being implemented by the Center of Education Development and Employment(EDEC) together with Dane Refuge Council (DRC) with financial supporting of European Union.
