Giorgi Khojevanishvili, the State Representative in Shida Kartli, met with the representatives of USAID Zrda and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The organizations’ discussions focused on the implementation of infrastructural, social and agricultural programs. According to Mr. Khojevinashvili, working with international organizations and exchanging best practices is important for the public sector.

USAID Zrda has been actively implementing various projects in the Shida Kartli region, together with local self-government, including the renovation of kindergartens, the establishment of potable water systems, and the construction of greenhouses. The renovation of a kindergarten in Kveshi and provision of potable water in Tsitsagiantkari (partially funded by Italy) projects are also being implemented in co-operation with the OSCE
