An informational meeting was held on the territory of New Bana within the framework of NATO days, attended by senior classmates, students and youth living in the villages along the occupation line in all four Shida Kartli municipalities.
The event was led by the State Representative of Shida Kartli,-Giorgi Khojevanishvili, Director of the Informational Center on NATO and EU,-Tamar Tsuleiskiri, Head of Mission at the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia,-Rosaria Puglisi and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Georgia,-Mariush Mashkevich. The Speakers focused on the goals and objectives of the North Atlantic Alliance, NATO-Georgia cooperation mechanisms, achievements and challenges. The importance of youth involvement in Georgia's integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures was also emphasized.
They noted that such meetings are important in the regions, where citizens are able to hear information on integration processes from the executive, international institutions, NGOs or independent experts.
According to the State Representative of Shida Kartli , such meetings with young people are necessary and important , especially on topics such as NATO and the European Union.
At the end of the meeting, the young people asked some interesting questions and received comprehensive answers.
