Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the State Representative of Shida Kartli, Irakli Mezurnishvili,-the MP of Kaspi, Levan Kobiashvili,-President of the Football Federation, Mikheil Kavelashvili, the authorities of the local self-government attended the pitch opening ceremony together with the local population and young sportsmen.

​The Central pitch in Kaspi was built by the financial supporting of the Fond of Regional and Municipality Development and the Football Federation of Georgia.Within the framework of the project, a podium and a press box for 500 people were arranged on site, a high quality artificial pavement was installed, a lighting system was installed and a sports school building with administrative facilities and dressing rooms were  renovated. The area of ​​the new pitch  has one standard size and one mini square.

After the opening ceremony, a friendly match was played between the veteran players of Kaspi "Gantiadi" and "Dinamo" Tbilisi at  Kaspi Central Pitch.
