IDP Families living in dilapidated buildings were given apartments in Khashuri

Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs has distributed apartments to 14 IDP families who were internally Displaced from the Occupied Territories in Khashuri, in the newly constructed block of  flats. After distributing the flats, two dilapidated buildings will be closed where the IDP persons have lived for many years in the hardest conditions.

The Ministry  purchased apartments in Rustaveli Street in Khashuri for IDP families through a competition within the frameworks of the clients’ program.

Deputy Minister,- Giorgi Tsotskolauri, Deputy of Director of the Agency of  IDPs,eco-migrants and Livelihoods,-Besarion Simonishvili, Shida Kartli State Representative,-Giorgi Khojevanishvili, the Mayor of Khashuri Municipality,-Giorgi Guraspashvili  gave the keys to the flats to the IDP families.
 Since 2013, 154 dilapidated  buildings have been closed across Georgia and up to 2,000 IDP families have received apartments in newly constructed buildings.  Since 2013, more than 21,000 IDP families have been provided housing, the process continues.
