The Georgian Red Cross Society has delivered 400 food and hygiene parcels to the
Shida Kartli region for single elderly people and large families. Shida Kartli State
Representative Giorgi Khojevanishvili and Natia Loladze,- President of the Georgian
Red Cross Society took part in the process of distributing the parcels. Also, in order to
prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Shida Kartli Representative Administration and
the Red Cross are organizing a rally in the food markets in Gori, which will allow the
population to join the campaign and contribute to helping their fellow citizens. In
particular, anyone can buy the products that the Red Cross volunteers will recommend
on the spot. In supermarket chains, customers will see the "Red Cross" corner, where
they will be able to leave the product. The collected products will be packaged with the
help of volunteers and will be given to the target families.
With the cooperation of 39 branches and local self-governments of the Georgian Red
Cross Society, more than 42,000 primary needs parcels have already been distributed
throughout the country.
