From Today on Tsitelubani and Khurvaleti will be Provided with Natural Gas

Deputy Prime Minister / Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze, Shida Kartli Governor Zurab Rusishvili, Deputy Governors, the director of the company ‘’SOCAR Georgia Gas”, Azer Mammadov and the representatives of ''the Gas Transportation Company of Georgia” attended the accomplishment of gasification works in the village of Tsitelubani and Khurvaleti, near the demarcation line of the occupied territories of Gori Municipality.

Minister of Energy and the representatives of energy companies lighted a torch in the village center. The villages of Tsitelubani and Khurvaleti have been gasified under the state project of gasification of the villages situated near the demarcation line of the occupied territories. For the complete process of gasification, 14km long gas pipeline of average pressure was built and installed in each village. Every family was provided with a gas meter; as a result, 510 families of IDP’s living in both villages will use natural gas. The gas pipeline works have been accomplished by the “Gas Transportation Company of Georgia”.

At present, according to the project, the company”SOCAR Georgia Gas” provides active installation works of connecting a customer to the gas transmission network. The processes of installation and connection of one point of gas are being carried out without any charge for the population of these villages. Under the project, 33 villages of Gori Municipality, situated near the demarcation line of the occupied territories, have been gasified.

For the purpose of the project implementation, the state financed 19 million GEL from the budget. The works of gasification are being carried out in 58 villages of Gori, Kareli, Kaspi, Khashuri and Zugdidi Municipalities.
