At the initiative and organization of the Culture Department of Kareli Municipality, Kareli Culture Center hosted a wide range creative event.  Up to forty poets and the representatives of the Georgian Writers’ Union took part in the above mentioned event.

The event was accompanied with jazz compositions. An initiative has also been raised at the mentioned event, related to the established of March 1 as the poetry day.

The Deputy Governor Ioseb Okromelidze and Head of the Kareli Municipality-Zaza Guliashvili addressed a speech to the guests at the said meeting. Young poets having great merits received diplomas and symbolic gifts. Poets of different generations presented their work to the society assembled in the Culture Center.
