The Ministry of Justice, Tea Tsulukiani, summarized the results of the first month of the land registration reform. This unprecedented project, with the help of which the citizens overcame the obstacles in land registration process, and which made the procedures simpler, started on the 1st of August.
Since the 1st of August till today 45 575 applications were submitted in Public Registry all over the country (in comparison with the last year only 7 526 citizens applied with the same request).
In 12 164 cases Public Registry searched for the necessary documents and successfully registered the land of the citizens without any complications. In 25 743 cases Public Registry, thanks to the new powers acquired as a result of the reform, started search of the corresponding documents in different authorities instead of the citizen and the large amount of these applications were successfully completed, 4 648 applications are currently in the process of study.
