Shida Kartli Governor, Giorgi Khojevanishvili attended the event at the Academy of  Defense dedicated to the 156 ^th anniversary of the Academy. Today,   Shida Kartli Governor, Deputy Chief of General Staff and Rector of the Academy congratulated the cadets,  listeners and personal staff members of the academy on the new academic year and awarded the staff with the departmental medals.

81 cadets  at the Bachelor’s educational program and 32 listeners at Officer Training Candidate Course were enrolled at the Academy of Defense in 2018-2019 academic year.60 listeners of the Command-headquarters college, 9 cadets of the Master’s Degree program among them, started the new academic year.  Junior cadets are taking the course of five weeks home combat training nowadays. After finishing this course, they will join the academic process.
