The Governor of Shida Kartli met the members of the National Judo team of Georgia, who are from Gori. Sportsmen Lasha Shavdatuashvili, Vazha Margvelashvili and Beka Ghviniashvili are training in Gori for the preparatory of final stage of the World Championship of Judo which is planned in Baku and they are practicing intensively. Khojevanishvili thanked the sportsmen for their hard work and contribution to Georgian sports.’’ I appreciate your labour and merit. We are always ready   to support and facilitate in this important concern. We are doing everything to arrange sporting infrastructure in our region and as you as future sportsmen will have a chance to train in the well-equipped  and comfortable environment’’,-said the Governor. The participants of the meeting talked about promoting of a healthy lifestyle and  establishing of Judo club in Gori.  Until now the sportsmen from Gori are participating in international tournaments in the name of clubs of various cities. Khojevanishvili also talked about the newly-built sports palace and hoped that the first sport competition would be held in the nearest period. At the end of the meeting the Governor wished the judoists  success at the World Championship of Judo.

The World Championship in Judo will take place on the 20-27^th of September, in Baku and the sportsmen from Gori will depart   to  the capital of Azarbaijan on September the 20^th .
