„I am congratulating all  students teachers and parents of our region on starting the new academic year. My special congratulation is for the initial stage students who are beginning an important and interesting period of their lives. My first steps, like yours,  refer to this school. Because of this, I wanted to come here and congratulate this day to you personally and wished successes,’’ – addressed State Representative-governor of Shida Kartli to the teachers and students who were gathered in the yard of Gori Pubic School #1. Students are best of all aware of their needs, they have interesting and innovative ideas, which encourage them to change the environment towards the better one. The Governor also thanked the teachers, particularly he expressed his attitude towards his first teacher for that contribution they have to their students and home country.

The Governor attended the event which was held in the school yard, later on he entered the school and talked to some junior pupils.
