Presentation of the current year plan was held in Gori Sporting School due to starting of new academic year. State Representative-Governor of Shida Kartli attended the event and congratulated on starting of the new academic year to coaches and sportsmen.  ,,Sport carries a special meaning for Gori and the whole region. We are very active and successful in this regard. A few  days ago I met our outstanding judoists who are going to the World Championship in Baku. I wished them successes and talked about the future plans as well.  We intend to meet again about the issue of establishing Judoists’ Club in Gori. I am ready to listen to your need, work together for their solving and listen to the initiatives in this regard, which will  promote  sport development and the establishment of a healthy life style in our region,’’-said the Governor at the meeting.

Nowadays 5 sporting schools are functioning in the Gori Municipality, where there are exercise-trainings  in progress in 16 types of sports.
