Giorgi Khojevanishvili,-the State Representative in Shida Kartli congratulated the veterans of the war on victory over  Pascism.’’ 74 years have passed since the day of  victory over Pascism  today, I would like to congratulate this day especially to our veterans of  the Second World War with a great respect. They greatly contributed to us. Also I want to pay tribute to each of our compatriots, to our heroes who devotedly  fought  in the Second World War,’’-noted the State Representative. 

The Second World War ended May 8, in 1945 after declaring of capitulation by Germany . The 9th of May was declared as the Victory Day over Fascism. Georgia lost about 300 000 soldiers in the Second World War.
